It may be used by all our guests wherever situated.Bar and Village ClubThe 'Harbour Bar'. which is opened exclusively for our guests, is adjacent to the swimming pool. Guests are also welcome in the Village Club, where they can find the bar and broadband Internet access.Living RoomsAll cottages, which are named after America's Cup yachts, are furnished to give a comfortable country atmosphere and have log or log effect fires, fan heaters, TV's (teletext) and videos. There is a payphone at Woodhouse Farm and each outlying cottage. Pet care can be arranged.Kitchen/Dining AreaThe cottages are equipped to top ETB standards, with dishwashers, wash/tumble dryers, fridge/freezers and microwave ovens. Most have pine kitchens and Italian-tiled floors. Highchairs are provided.BedroomsMany bedrooms have oak beams and four-poster beds. Cots are standard. Rooms are generally en-suite with laminated pine floors. Duvets and linen are provided by our own laundry. Towels may be requested by overseas visitors. Hair dryers and irons are included.Playroom/Games Room, Tennis CourtOpen for "children" of all ages the games room also has a pool table. A hard tennis court may be booked, free of charge, near Ranger Cottage.Orchard BBQ and PlaygroundThere is an orchard with a barbeque area for relaxing and away from it a children's playground. From time to time during the school holidays there is a supervised young children's club. Baby sitting can be arranged.Adventure Centre. Estate WalksEnjoy our 8 mile quad bike track or some clay pigeon shooting or carp fishing (charged separately). Fishing boats may be hired from Teignmouth (4 miles). There are some interesting walks, where Raven and Peregrine Falcons may be seen.Conference Rooms Rooms may be booked at the Adventure Centre for celebrations, social events and business get togethers. Corporate Groups The well established Ashcombe Adventure Centre has three conference rooms and a selection of outdoor activities including 'team tasks', 'obstacle courses', 'lake crossings', 'zip wires', 'paintball', 'quad biking' over an 8 mile woodland circuit (30 bikes), 'karts', 'mountain bikes', archery and a serious 'clay shoot' (30 auto traps). Everything a company requires for team building - or just a management get-together. Sporting Groups We have organised team bonding with Will Carling for world rugby players, and with Tracey Edwards for round the world yachtsmen, plus activities for many other sports. Other Groups Ashcombe has become an ideal seminar venue for professional groups, such as surgeons and solicitors, and a great place for wedding, stag, hen and other parties or clubs, who may enjoy the seclusion of the countryside spiced with the stimulating activities of the Adventure Centre - all within a private 2500 acre agricultural estate. Accommodation and Catering Our cottages, with heated indoor swimming pool, are finished to four star standards, the five star Old Rectory and Coach House, with their separate heated pool, are ideal for top management. Breakfasts will normally be taken in the cottages, an excellent lunch and dinner being served at the Adventure Centre (seating 50). Alternatively groups may wish to book at the nearby Elizabethan Inn, which also has a superb menu. There are licensed bars both at the cottages and the Adventure Centre.
